Yemen 1992-2009

Beginning in 1992, JHCO provided humanitarian aid to the Somali refugees living in Yemen through air cargo, which included medical teams to administer hospitals in both Sanaa and Aden. In addition, in 1994, JHCO sent tents, blankets and food supplies to the affected regions, as well as providing the medical teams already on the ground with medical essentials and devices.

Following the 1996 flooding, JHCO sent an additional aid plane carrying 18.5 tons to our Yemeni brothers, after flooding displaced thousands and caused hundreds of casualties.

In response to the numerous victims of the violence between the Yemeni government and Houthi insurgents, JHCO sent 12 tons of aid including food stuffs, medicine and other medical essential in 2009.
